AIM Specialty Health Rehabilitation Program Updates

The relaunch of AIM Specialty Health’s Rehabilitation Program for Anthem Commercial Colorado and Nevada membership is scheduled for April 1, 2020.  Utilization requests may be submitted beginning March 16, 2020.  Per the AIM Specialty Health website, the relaunch of Anthem Commercial membership for California is targeted for later in 2020.  AIM Specialty Health had previously relaunched the Rehabilitation Program on November 1^st for Anthem’s Commercial Membership in Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Missouri, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

In addition, implementation for Anthem Medicare membership is delayed until April 2020. Pre-authorization will not be required for outpatient PT/OT/SLP services through March 2020. This does not apply to members in the states of FL, NJ and NY for whom prior authorization will still be required.
